  OPENWAVE STRENGTHENS LOCATION OFFERING THROUGH WORLDWIDE RESELLER AGREEMENT WITH TECHNOCOM CORPORATION
  

  Agreement Allows Openwave to Offer its Operator Customers Quality Assurance for their Wireless Location Systems
 
LOS ANGELES, CTIA IT & Entertainment - September 12, 2006 -- Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), the independent provider of open software products and services for the communications and media industry, today announced a worldwide strategic reseller agreement with TechnoCom Corporation, a leading provider of solutions to enable wireless location services and assure their ongoing performance. This agreement allows Openwave to resell TechnoCom's LocationAssurance Manager™ (LAM) platform and enable ongoing quality assurance of its wireless location systems.

TechnoCom's LAM platform will add location service assurance to Openwave's portfolio of location offerings, allowing operators to easily measure, report and analyze the quality of their location networks. These features are key to the performance of both emergency location services as well as revenue generating commercial location-based services.
