Openwave Collaborates with DESCA to Offer Mobile Data Solutions to Operators in the Caribbean and Latin America

Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), a global software innovator delivering context-aware mediation and messaging solutions, today announced a joint collaboration with DESCA, a leading regional Latin American networking company focused on delivering best-practice-based infrastructure and telecommunications solutions and services to companies in Latin America (CaLA) and the Caribbean. According to the terms of the agreement, DESCA will manage fulfillment of the Openwave products and provide integration services and professional services to operators in the CaLA region. The solutions are expected to consist of Openwave’s context-aware mediation solutions for the mobile internet, with advanced professional services from DESCA. The integrated solution is designed to help operators in CaLA to monitor, manage and monetize the mobile internet while reaching a new customer base.
