Openwave Shortlisted for Key 2010 GSMA Global Mobile Award

Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV), a global software innovator delivering context-aware mediation and messaging solutions that enable communication service providers and the broader ecosystem to create and deliver smarter services, today announced that Openwave® Passport was shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Mobile Internet Service category in the 2010 GSMA Global Mobile Awards.

Openwave Passport allows mobile operators to offer a range of time, type or consumption based internet access options (e.g. day-, hour- and week-passes) to the casual mobile internet user.
